Full Job Description

Whilst the role will be based primarily at our Eye Centre at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, we provide services at our other hospital sites; Dewsbury and District Hospital and Pontefract General Infirmary. Most People do work from two sites. The department provides Secretarial support and office accommodation in the Eye Centre. The department has the support of Optometrists, Orthoptists, Specialist Nurses and Eye Clinic Liaison Officers., The main duties of the post will include: Supporting the provision of General Ophthalmology for the department Delivery of outpatient clinics, Lasers and day case surgery Urgent and Emergency Care duties including out-of-hours on-call; schedules will take due account of the provisions of working time regulations and safe working 1 Core Supporting Professional Activities will be offered to the successful candidate for which appropriate objectives will be agreed in accordance with the Trust Framework
