Full Job Description

The successful candidate will be pivotal in supporting Healthcare Operations and the wider Yusen Control Tower in delivering its service to final mile contracts. They will be responsible for delivering exceptional Customer service by effectively communicating with our customers and stakeholders and managing the network of Yusen Suppliers., Service:

  • Daily overseeing supplier warehouse and transportation activities
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers and investigating issues in line with company Compliance procedure
  • Identifying issues for improvement
  • Analysing data and inputting into daily and monthly performance analysis (using statistics and MS Excel)
  • Attending regular review meetings and supporting other areas of the business as necessary
  • Process and documentation
  • Supporting Yusen delivery commitments to customers through robust and sustainable processes aligned to quality, service and cost
  • Knowledge of quality management principles with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities associated with quality, service and cost
  • Teamwork
  • Undertake daily tasks as directed by the Supply Chain Manager
  • Working effectively within a team, sharing relevant information as necessary, and providing operational support to other team members as required
  • Requirement to cross-train to enable cover for holiday/sickness / out-of-office
  • Supporting the wider contract team in any projects
  • Support the operational team where necessary
  • Undertaking admin and other ad hoc duties, as required
  • Communication
  • Maintain excellent relations with customers and suppliers whilst protecting Yusen's position by ensuring service is delivered against agreed SLAs
  • Communicate professionally and effectively across internal sites and departments and externally with customers and suppliers
  • Report / escalate any poor performance of third-party hauliers as necessary
  • Participate in customer and supplier review meetings
  • Cost and system
  • System Accuracy - ensuring system data is up to date and accurate within the agreed timelines and in line with the operating procedures
  • Overseeing supplier inventory and transportation reporting and checking costs

    Be working in a similar role, 3PL/4PL preferred but not essential
  • Spanish language skills essential
  • Portuguese and/or French language skills desirable but not essential
  • Customer and supplier facing roles
  • Transportation and warehousing knowledge desirable but not essential
  • Good, strong communication skills
  • Highly organised and excellent attention to detail
  • IT proficent - MS office and excel
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization as well as clients
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good knowledge of geography
  • International travel may be required (infrequent)

    We are looking for a Spanish-speaking Logistics Coordinator to work at our site in Northampton (NN4 5FB). This is a full-time, permanent role offering a salary of between £25,000 £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. The work schedule for this role is predominantly Monday through to Friday, working 08:00 to 16:30.,
