We are proud to offer world class palliative and end of life care to everyone who needs it, whenever or wherever that may be. We are also here for the people closest to you. However, as we often say, we're more than just a hospice. We are proud of our community programmes that offer practical, emotional and spiritual support to over 7,500 people in the local area, most of whom we will help to continue living at home.

Being part of the retail and trading arm of the Hospice means raising vital funds to support this mission.

Salary: £30,727 per annum
Employment Terms: Permanent, 36 hours per week, (Monday to Sunday - Flexible, out of hours and on-call included)
Location: St Pauls Cray base with travel across SE London
You'll be the lead when making sure our vans are out on the road every day moving stock and supplies around our 24 retail stores and Hospice locations. This means overseeing all elements of a timely and flexible logistics process.

You'll be responsible for the vehicles, including preventative and reactive maintenance work, and all checks and compliance related matters, plus logging and monitoring the data.

This is a management role and includes overseeing a group of drivers, including training, performance management, handling rotas and attendance, and more.

In addition, you'll be tasked with identifying areas for improvement in van related activity, ranging from best practice for driving routes to smart stock movement practice. You'll sometimes go out on the vans yourself and do some driving manual handling to maintain good oversight on operations.
