Full Job Description

The successful post holder will be responsible for the medical and surgical supply to wards and theatres across Sheffield Teaching and Childrens Hospital sites which undertake a range of clinical specialties., Key work streams you will lead on are improving the way we deploy and utilise Logistics staff to ensure that we deliver the best care possible, looking for new and innovative ways to ensure we are using our resources to their best and working closely with senior staff to ensure that robust systems and processes are in place. Working closely with the Head of Logistics, Head of Service and Senior Clinical Staff, you will ensure that the department displays consistently high standards and best practice and you will be integral into designing how replenishment services evolve on all our sites.

You will have a key relationship with our Procurement Team and will use your expertise and guidance to ensure that Sheffield Teaching and Childrens Hospital replenishment services are appropriately and effectively operated within the Trust.

A proven operational Logistics/Supply Chain Manager/Asst Manager, ideally in an acute hospital setting, with a track record of successful change management, you will be the essential link between operational practice and Logistics strategy / improvement requirements. A good knowledge of IMS application is desirable.

The Procurement department provides procurement and supply chain services to the Trust.
