Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans, and procedures to ensure efficient processing of raw materials and intermediates into finished goods This position reports to the Logistics Site Manager, UK and is part of the Logistics Team in Abcam, Cambridge, UK and will be on-site. • Line manage and coach the OEM & IHM product processing team, and provide monthly 1:1 meetings to discuss performance, progression and goals
• Determine Processing priorities and actively assess resources to support the transformation and delivery of products
• Liaise cross-functionally to ensure product processing is accurate, and on time, to avoid overstocking or stock-outs
• Provide summaries of workflow to the Logistics Site Manager, UK, and other stakeholders
• Responsible with other departmental managers to justify FTE for the entire department and work with TA to recruit and back-fill any vacancies
• Monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions through the use of DBS tools
• Serve our internal customers in Manufacturing to effectively support their operations
  
  Experience working within a Logistics/Supply Chain/Manufacturing role
• Demonstrated Team-leading experience and skills
• Experience working with Oracle ERP system
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• SCALE WMS system
