Full Job Description

Providing comprehensive Logistics administrative support for the organisation. Liaising with Customs clearing agents and Courier services to ensure timely delivery and receipt of Weqas products. Providing timely responses to incoming correspondence and emails regarding any logistics issues. Scheduling of deliveries, and maintenance of the database, for clients registered for courier bulk delivery service. Taking responsibility for the timely and accurate completion of import and export customs entries and declarations in the respective IT portals.

We are seeking an organised, professional and adaptable individual to work with us within this busy logistics team. We are looking for a candidate with a problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach for resolution, with an interest in logistics within a healthcare setting. Weqas operates out of a dedicated unit with good rail and bus links. Free parking is available directly in front of the building. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply., An understanding of logistics operations and practices and have experience in logistic or supply chain management tasks. Desirable to hold at least CILT(UK) Level 5 Professional Diploma in Logistics and Transport (IAR). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook). Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures. Working to deadlines. The post holder is required to keep abreast of UK and International Customs regulations for the import and export of all Weqas products.

Weqas is an External Quality Assessment (EQA) provider hosted by the Cardiff & Vale University Health Board. Weqas runs over 40 EQA Programmes, providing performance analysis, troubleshooting advice and an educational advisory service to NHS Pathology Departments, independent healthcare laboratories, independent pharmacies, forensic pathology services, veterinary pathology laboratories, clinical trial units and diagnostic companies. Weqas provides four distinct services:
