Logistics / Operations Position: Mel Aviation Components

You will be working as part of a team and reporting to the Operations Manager. This role will focus on ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely receipt and despatch of all shipments in accordance with company procedures and to meet all operational requirements.,

• Safe-handling and inspection of all shipments in line with relevant documentation
• Perform multiple warehouse disciplines including raising repair orders and shipping
• Recording relevant data on IT systems
• Use counterbalance forklift effectively and safely (training available)
• Effectively liaise with all departments and freight companies as required
• Ensure parts are received undamaged and in the correct packaging to meet shipping regulations and requirements
• Ensure the warehouse/working area is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Attend and participate in training courses and meeting when required
• Liaise effectively with freight and courier companies as required
• Be aware and adhere to the company Health and Safety guidelines
• Understand and adhere to all applicable Export Control regulations
• Any other duties as requested

• Good organizational skills with ability to prioritise and manage workloads
• Exceptional attention to detail
• High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Flexibility in working hours where required (i.e. shi work, holiday cover, urgent out of hours shipments)
• Legal entitlement to live and work in UK, Relevant experience within a similar role
• Valid Forklift licence - training can be provided
• Valid Driving licence

The salary offered is £25k-£28k per annum depending on experience All Job offers are subject to a 90-day probationary period.
