Full Job Description
We are recruiting for a Logistics Operations Team Leader to join our team, and drive operational excellence across our logistics and production processes working on a weekend shift. This role is pivotal in ensuring all internal transactions are completed accurately, kitting is executed to meet the requirements of each area, and materials and components are delivered just in time and without errors.,
- Manage and ensure the accurate execution of all internal transactions throughout the weekend shift, including monitoring and reconcile inventory movements, ensuring data integrity within the system.
- Lead and oversee the kitting process to ensure all required components are prepared and allocated correctly for each area of production or assembly.
- Resolve any issues or shortages in the kitting process promptly.
- Ensure that all materials and components are handed off to the relevant areas precisely when needed, avoiding delays and minimizing downtime.
- Coordinate with other teams to maintain workflow continuity and efficiency.
- Identify and address errors or inconsistencies in work orders.
- Responsible in raising and completing MPI reports for non-conforming work orders, collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
- Supervise and lead the weekend team, providing clear direction and support to achieve operational targets.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, ensuring team members are motivated and aligned with company goals.
- Proactively address any risks or hazards, maintaining a safe working environment.
Proven experience in a team leadership role, preferably in a logistics, manufacturing, or engineering environment. - Strong understanding of inventory and transaction processes within a high-performance operational context.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems preferably D335 and inventory control processes.
- Maintain personal high standards of behaviour and conduct, being a positive ambassador for the department.
- Work to quality standards and identify and contribute ways to continuously improve department and personal performance.
- Demonstrated expertise in kitting processes and just-in-time delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with MPI reporting or equivalent quality improvement systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality with a proactive approach to problem solve.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic environment of motorsport logistics and able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
