Full Job Description

The role of the Logistics Operative is to ensure safe and effective movements of goods to support the needs of the Trust.

Products will need to be delivered and collected in a timely fashion in accordance with a daily schedule. Good are to be handled in a safe and efficient method to preserve quality and support safe collection and delivery.

This advert is for a number of part time and full time roles, Products will be delivered to the Trust's hospital sites from a number of suppliers and delivery agents, including NHS Supply Chain. The main duties of the Logistics Operative will include:

  • Ensuring all products are checked and signed for.

  • Loading, moving and collecting cages (both full and empty) on a daily basis.

  • Checking the quality of items and rejecting items that are substandard.

  • Collection and removal of waste streams from designated waste points across the sites

  • To complete a full Trust-led training programme to ensure all products and waste can be moved, handled, stored and disposed of safely and effectively.
