Logistics Operative

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Newport, Isle of Wight

Hours: 37.5hrs/wk (shifts between 7am and 6pm)

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: Permanent

Duties:

Taking incoming deliveries, rotating stock and updating stock control systems,
Picking and Packing internal and external customer orders,
Loading and unloading vehicles plus moving of materials around site,
Working to schedules,
Conducting weekly stock checks and investigate discrepancies,
Ensure adherence to quality and health and safety standards.

Experience:

Must have previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment,
Counterbalance and Pivot Steer licences are an advantage,
Must have a good level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems,
Must be able to work well as part of a team in addition to on own initiative, be flexible with duties and open to change and improvements,
Must have strong organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines within a fast paced environment.

Salary: £24-24,5000 per annum plus benefits
