Full Job Description

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor the role of Logistics Planner will work as part of the Logistics Planning team ensuring the timely and efficient planning of vehicles. The team also manage our customer requirements daily to ensure optimisation of capacity in regard to fulfilling customer orders for asphalt and aggregate deliveries. The role of Logistics Planner will also be responsible for:

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls to monitor orders and haulage requirements
  • Processing customer orders
  • Providing quality customer experience
  • Effectively managing customer expectations
  • Providing effective communication with key stakeholders both internal and external
  • Accurate recording of data
  • Effective management of assets and materials, ensuring effective utilisation of vehicles
  • Sourcing and management of external haulage companies, managing associated costs
  • Ensuring best use of resources to optimise delivery of all customer requirements
  • Raising any safety concerns immediately
