Full Job Description

We are committed to providing our guests with an outstanding experience hosting one of the world's most prestigious race meetings, Royal Ascot, as well as 21 race days and numerous non-racing events each year. As Logistics Supervisor you will manage the logistics team and provide guidance to team members, ensuring the completion of specified tasks to the expectation of a venue partner who have standards that are second to none. You will plan, supervise, and deliver logistical requirements for race day setups and events and execute a detailed on-site logistics plan in collaboration with all departments. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of four staff (increasing in numbers on race days).
  • Plan, Supervise and deliver the logistical requirements for the set-up of Ascot Racecourse.
  • Supervise the day-to-day logistics team members to ensure that specified daily taskings are completed efficiently and within the H&S SSoW.
  • Ensure that all team members wear the correct PPE for task.
  • Deliver Toolbox talks as required in particular Manual Handling
  • Supervise and control the disposables and cleaning materials for the main CPU and support site cleanliness.
  • Execute a detailed on-site logistics plan, supporting all departments including Hospitality, Retail and Box Operations, Conference & Event Operations, to ensure onsite operations teams can operate as expected. Other departments, such as Commercial or HR, will require intermittent support.
  • Effectively liaise with Ascot Racecourse Operations department and attend client meetings as required, to receive or present information to the client in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles and delivering the goods to the appropriate area of the venue.
  • Distributing and laying out furniture as required for events.

    You will have previous experience in a similar role (industry immaterial). Previous supervisory experience is essential as is a UK driving licence (held for more than 2 years).

  • IOSH (we can arrange this)
  • Forklift licence.
