Provide line management for a team of drivers and Logistic Specialist to ensure clients' assets are delivered within their specific SLAs. Ensuring full adherence to all relevant legislation and Iron mountain standards, adhere to budget

constraints and report any variance,

  • Day-to-day management of the logistics team at the relevant site to ensure all service and quality standards are met. Total compliance with all Iron Mountain standards and all legal requirements

  • Ensure that all records and forms with regard to transport legislation/quality are used/updated and kept current to ensure full compliance

  • Ensure all KPI reporting is maintained correctly

  • Be able to constantly review all routes to ensure maximum efficiency

  • Interface with customers in terms of day-to-day requirements and provide solutions to any problems when required

  • Conduct pre-checks and prepare de-brief for drivers returning from routes

  • Stand in for Logistics Manager as needed

  • Understand the relevance of all KPI's and utilise them to manage the operation effectively


  • Decision Making Authority and Budgetary Responsibility
  • Responsible for overtime

  • Absence management which includes Holiday allocation and completing RTW for absence

  • Third Party expenditure

    IT literate with knowledge and experience of using all Windows based packages

  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently, as well as the capability to supervise teams

  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation

  • Ability to build and develop successful relationships with all key stakeholders including, customers, direct reports where applicable, operational management, sales, account management and other teams and departments within Iron Mountain

  • Proven general supervision / management experience in an operational service delivery / Projects based role is desirable

  • Good understanding of routing packages and systems

  • Previous experience of tracking packages
