Joining our dedicated Hampshire Equipment Service (HES) team as a Logistics Team Supervisor, you'll lead and support our team of Equipment Delivery Drivers, empowering them to assist adults and children across Hampshire who need additional care. In this rewarding role, you'll contribute to promoting people's independence and enhancing their quality of life by helping to reduce, avoid or delay the need for ongoing care, while supporting them to remain living at home. This is a brand-new role, giving you the opportunity to shape the role and make it your own. Whether you're looking to expand your leadership skills, or embarking on your first step towards a management career, this is a fantastic opportunity to stretch yourself in a supportive environment. What you'll do:

  • Team Management: Oversee team performance, manage and schedule workloads and shift cover, identify training needs, and provide effective leadership.
  • Support Operational Delivery: Assist the Management Team with service operations and deputise where required.
  • Conduct Reports and Audits: Undertake incident reports and quality audits.
  • Drive a Council Vehicle: You'll be on the road with Equipment Delivery Drivers when leading training sessions and undertaking practical assessments.

Excellent Communication: Both verbal and written communication.
  • Performance Management: Skilled in addressing performance and competency issues.
  • Decision Making: Responsible, accountable and flexible in decision making processes.
  • Relationship Building: Able to build successful working relationships through strong interpersonal skills.
  • Person-Centred Approach: Committed to working with service users in a strengths-based way.
  • A Valid, Full UK Driving Licence: With parking facilities at home for a large van (parking permits can be paid for by the council).

    Why join us?
  • Make a Difference: Work in collaborative partnership with organisations across Health and Social care to maximise independence, prevent hospital admissions, and facilitate rapid discharge from hospital to improve outcomes for the people of Hampshire.
  • Career Growth: Access to a wealth of rewarding career choices.
  • Professional Development: Supportive supervision and continuous learning opportunities, including leadership and management training and formal qualification routes.
  • Competitive Benefits package: Including access to Local Government Pension Scheme.
