Full Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for the security, safety and welfare of One Bartholomew Close building occupiers and visitors. The Security Officer will protect the assets in the building by maintaining a vigilant, pro-active security presence to minimise security risks to people and property. They will need to be able to spend reasonable periods of time during a 12-hour shift both on patrol and standing on post.,

  • Act as a point of contact and information center to staff and visitors and tenants

  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner.

  • Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal, are adhered to.

  • Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers.

  • Be vigilant about the Health and Safety risks at One Bartholomew Close, carrying out regular checks.

  • Follow all reasonable requests from the Controller, Duty Shift Manager, Head of Security, or any member of the One Bartholomew Close Management team.

  • Conduct foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client's property and assets.

  • Investigate and take the appropriate lawful action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety, and fire incidents.

  • Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures.

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels - verbally, written, phone and by security radios.

    Valid Frontline SIA license.

  • Good customer service and communication skills.

  • High level of self-presentation.

  • Basic IT skills.

  • Experience within a similar position is preferred.

  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.

  • Quick thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges.
