Brierley Hill Primary is a one-form entry school catering for pupils from 3-11 years and we put our children at the heart of everything we do. Governors are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor from Autumn 2024 to join our dedicated lunchtime supervisory team. The role involves:

  • supervising children in the dining hall, on the playground, and in classrooms during inclement weather,
  • ensuring the children are safe and our behaviour policy is followed consistently at all times,
  • ensuring a range of activities are available to engage pupils,
  • administering first aid when required,
  • safeguarding the children (full training is given at induction and throughout your employment with us).
  • The successful candidate will be able to multitask, work flexibly and have a 'can do' approach to work, as no two days are ever the same! They will also need to be reliable, organised and approachable. A key part of the role is liaising with school staff, sports coaches and pupils so good communication skills are essential. Providing a happy, inclusive and nurturing environment for our pupils is essential, to prepare the children for afternoon lessons. We value our staff and ensure that all roles within school are well supported and development and training is available. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children; therefore, the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All applicants must be able to provide documentation to prove their right to work in the UK. Effective from September 2022, KCSIE states as part of the shortlisting process schools and colleges should consider carrying out on-line searches, as part of the due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This is to determine suitability to work with children and keep them safe. All shortlisted candidates are now subject to an on-line check and if there is anything concerning, then the shortlisted candidate will be asked to comment on it either prior to or at interview., Brierley Hill Primary is a one-form entry school catering for pupils from 3-11 years and we put our children at the heart of everything we do.
