About the School - Breaside Located in Bromley, Kent, Breaside Preparatory School provides a rich learning environment for your son or daughter. We would like to appoint a suitably qualified Lunchtime Supervisor, to start as soon as possible. It is essential that applicants have experience of working with children and be able to work as part of a team. Hours of work: 10 hours per week - Monday to Friday (term time only). About the role As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you, as an individual and as part of a team, will be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare, and good behaviour of pupils during the lunchtime break period, in accordance with agreed practices and procedures. This will involve helping set up the Dining Hall and/or children's classrooms for lunch, monitoring pupil's behaviour in the lunch queue, supporting children eating meals and supervising the conduct of pupils, ensuring safe and orderly conduct within the playground and around the premises. Who we are looking for The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic and caring attitude with the ability to engage in a warm and supportive way with the children. You will be an effective communicator who can use their initiative to provide a variety of engaging and stimulating activities. You will have a NVQ Level 2 and have prior experience of working with young children and the ability to meet their needs. You should also be able to use basic first aid equipment as required, respect the need for confidentiality, be familiar with the safe use of outdoor equipment and be committed to safeguarding children.
