Full Job Description

We are recruiting for a Lymphoedema Assistant who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The lymphoedema outpatient clinic at MVCC are looking for a lymphoedema assistant to work on Monday and Thursday, (totalling 15 hours), to join the team caring for over 300 Cancer related lymphoedema patients.
The nurse led lymphoedema clinic assesses the patients, plans their care after discussing with the patients, then prioritises the patients' needs from there. We offer measuring for compression garments, bandaging and treatments.
You will be fully supported and given the opportunity to undertake training in lymphoedema care as required.
Lymphoedema are a forward-thinking clinic, keen to develop the service we deliver to patients. As part of the team, you will work alongside other staff such as admin, pharmacy, dieticians and physio. You will work within a team of skilled lymphoedema staff, supported to run your own clinic.

It is important that you understand and refer to our values during your recruitment process and beyond!, The Lymphoedema Assistant works independently under leadership from the lymphoedema state practitioner, working within their scope of practice, in accordance with training they have completed.
To be trained and competent to deliver treatments such as Mannual Lymphatic Drainage, neuro muscular taping, intermittent pneumatic compression and instruct on simple lymphatic drainage, following treatment plans designed by state registered Lymphoedema practitioners.
Deliver care for patients, who have been allocated to them by state registered lymphoedema practitioners.
Assess patient understanding of their treatments.
To have underpinning knowledge as to when to raise and escalate concerns to the state registered lymphoedema practitioners., ENHT is seeking to maintain and expand the MVCC staff as we move to an exciting new future.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,314 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata.
