Lymphoedema Clinical Specialist Nurse or AHP

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse or AHP to join our small, experienced dedicated community nurse led Lymphoedema service on a 6 month Secondment.

The service provides specialist advice to patients on the management of lymphoedema, chronic oedema and lipoedema across the borough of Enfield. We provide Nurse led clinics daily in a variety of settings and visit the housebound patients at home or in residential and nursing homes., The post holder will take a leading role in the management, development, and efficient running of the Lymphoedema service. The post holder will be providing specialist lymphoedema advice, support, education and training to patients, carers and health care staff & professionals based on knowledge of relevant evidence, current research, good practice guidance.

The post holder will need todemonstrate understanding of the causes of and management of chronic oedema, lipoedema, primary and secondary Lymphoedema. To carry a clinical caseload, working to a high professional standard, using advanced clinical and theoretical knowledge and skills to work as an autonomous practitioner, maintaining associated record keeping .

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system - consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS's, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.

We are proud of our staff and want to ensure their training allows them to provide excellent clinical care. We are also a training unit for medical students from UCL and St George's University Grenada, and for nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.

£51,883 to £58,544 a year per annum inclusive of HCAS
