Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated registered nurse or Allied Health Professional (AHP) to lead the non-cancer related lymphoedema service to deliver a co-ordinated, high-quality community based service.

The non-cancer related lymphoedema service is a clinical based service providing specialised holistic care and support for patients with non-cancer related lymphoedema in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The service is currently based at the Uppingham Road Health Centre, in Leicester.

The successful candidate will be expected to have significant experience in treating lymphoedema. Additionally experience of providing clinical and managerial leadership is required for this role.

This post is 30 hours per week.,

  • To manage and take overall responsibility for care quality performance and clinical activity by providing professional nursing / AHP leadership guidance, clinical advise and management in relation to key dimensions in relation to health care quality.

  • Ensuring delivery of clinical effective service in line with local and national development plans and Trust polices and procedures.

  • To be responsible for the coordination of services and to promote optimum health.

  • To be responsible for the development of specialist care interventions and care plans.

  • Ensure that staff are trained appropriately to deliver care and mentoring and clinical supervision is in place., in line with our flexible working policy. For all substantive roles, new staff (excluding medical staff) are appointed subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy). All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.
