Full Job Description

Our Building Services team are looking for an M & E Supervisor to join the team at Royal Derby Hospital. The purpose of the role is to assist in the establishment of an efficient and effective direct labour force in order to achieve a high standard of direct labour performance. What you'll bring to the role:

  • Assist the Maintenance Managers with planning and distributing the work to the team leaders and craftsmen within the user department priority
  • Assist the Maintenance Managers in the preparation of estimates for income generation work
  • Ensure good communications exist between the Maintenance Manager, fellow Supervisors, team leaders and craftsmen
  • Advise the Maintenance Manager on the effectiveness of PPM - additions, deletions or alterations

    Knowledge of one or more mechanical/electrical/building skills, acquired through HNC/BTEC/C&G training course plus a recognised apprenticeship in one core skill.
  • Knowledge of building services with at least 5 years experience in building services maintenance.
  • Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • A Construction skill card is required.
