Macmillan Information and Support Lead (Kent and Medway-Wide)

We have recently scoped our MacMillan Information service and identified changes that would enhance the patient experience and allow equitable access to cancer information for all. We are now looking for a positive and enthusiastic individual, with a strong work ethic and a background in change management, to lead the MacMillan Information service across the county. The post-holder will provide vision, professional leadership and strategic direction, working collaboratively with key stakeholders throughout the Kent and Medway ICB and in line with the Cancer Alliance.

The post-holder will manage the Band 7 MacMillan Information Services Manager and the team of Band 4 Cancer Information Support Workers and together will implement a model of accessible information that will meet the needs of a continually evolving patient group, ultimately ensuring that cancer information is equally accessible to all.

Please note this role may close earlier than the original closing date so please ensure you submit your application as soon as possible., The post will be based at Maidstone Hospital but will involve cross-site working and travel to all other Acute Trust settings within the county. We currently operate a Monday to Friday service but would be happy to consider a flexible working pattern providing the needs of the service are met.
