Full Job Description

The post is based at Hull Royal Infirmary but they may be required to work at all Trust property so the applicant is required to hold a full driving license to undertake driving duties.
Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role., The main job purpose of the role is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to carry out basic repairs and planned maintenance tasks throughout the Hospital and other premises.
The vacancy requires participation on a partial shift system Rota and the successful candidate will be required to provide sickness and annual leave cover for the various sections and stores duties., Carry out routine and non-routine base level craftsman's planned, corrective and breakdown maintenance
work using own initiative within Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and associated properties.
Observing all relevant safety standards and procedures, to ensure a safe working environment for all
patients, visitors and staff.

The successful candidate will have relevant technical qualifications or equivalent experience and must be able to demonstrate experience of maintenance activities including Portable Electrical Appliance Testing and/or Steam Boiler operation and maintenance. However, the department is committed to the ongoing training of their staff to a high standard in order to comply with legislation and to ensure that the patient environment is maintained so as to be safe but in a cost effective and efficient manner.
