Full Job Description

We are looking for a maintenance bricklayer to join our friendly Response team as they undertake a variety of tasks across our social housing properties. Whilst this role will require solid experience in brickwork, your time will be split between bricklaying and numerous other tasks, including fencing, concreting, groundworks and landscaping. Our properties are located across the Melksham and Trowbridge area. Alongside excellent benefits, you will also receive a company vehicle and fuel card to cover your travel to and from site. On any given day you may find yourself:

  • Removing walls and ceilings
  • Carrying out repairs and alterations to existing stone, walling, pointing, screeding, and drainage construction
  • Fencing
  • Laying tarmac, patio slabs, concrete paths, key clamp rails and carrying out adaptation works
  • Decorating and simple joinery tasks
  • Identifying, quantifying and sourcing required materials.

    Approachable and self-motivated, capable of motivating others through effective working relationships
  • Collaborative team player who recognises the value of good working relationships with others
  • City in Guilds/ NVQ level 2 in bricklaying / trowel occupations or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Ability to manage own workload and manage time effectively
