Full Job Description

This role offers a Recruitment and Retention Payment of £3,500 per annum. Simply Serve Limited is a subsidiary of Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, delivering expert healthcare estates and facilities, healthcare sciences, and other support services. We offer comprehensive 24-hour services that cover property management, procurement, logistics, and more. As a Maintenance Craftsperson (Mechanical), you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of engineering plant and equipment within a modern NHS hospital environment. This includes working on hot and cold water systems, emergency generators, heating, ventilation, and building management systems, alongside performing fault-finding and repairs.,

  • Conduct complex and non-routine mechanical maintenance.
  • Maintain systems including heating, ventilation, water, pumps, compressors, and motors.
  • Perform basic electrical work as required.
  • Collaborate with maintenance colleagues, ward staff, and other departments.
  • Use and manage the Facilities Management system for job planning and reporting.
  • Participate in the on-call maintenance rota.
