Maintenance Engineer

As the successful Maintenance Engineer, you will report to the Site Manager and will be responsible for managing all aspects of electrical and mechanical maintenance and plant reliability; including the management of breakdown cause and availability analysis. On a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer will include (not exhaustive):

• Identifying and managing safety and energy opportunities
• Managing site-based projects
• Delivering a high level of technical support as well as hands on rectification.
• Managing the maintenance activities on site
• Developing and coaching others
• Completing preventative maintenance inspections on automated packing and palletising equipment
• Supporting maintenance activities and identifying solutions to maintenance, operational and reliability issues
  
  The ideal Maintenance Engineer will be a time served electrical technician with experience within an industrial environment. Additional experience in mechanical fitting, welding and industrial automation would also be of benefit.
If you have a time served electrical apprenticeship with qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or have previous experience of working within an electrical industrial environment, this would be beneficial as would having a knowledge of electrical standards and maintenance practices.
