Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Clevedon Our client, a major manufacturer of bearings for the aerospace and automotive industry, is looking for a Maintenance Engineer - with an electrical bias. You will be servicing, fault finding, repairing, and improving on a wide range of production equipment - including CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines. This opportunity is a permanent opportunity with an attractive salary. You will be working on a double day shift rotating, the hours are 05:50-14:00 and 13:50-22:00 Monday to Thursday and Fridays 05:50-11:20 and 11:10-16:40 shift premium is offered. What would you do?
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance in accordance with schedules
- Resolve breakdowns
- Fault find to the cause of failures
- Source and purchase spares
- Carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
- Test & inspect electrical installations
- Communicate to operators/mangers/engineers/contractors
- Be active in supporting, creating, and implementing new ways of working/good working practices
- Drive a continuous improvement culture
- Support supplier and subcontractor development, where applicable
- Run your operations according to the Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Policies, and work according to the Quality Management System
Apprentices trained and have a range of industry recognized qualifications such as: City & Guilds, NVQ's , BTEC, HNC, HND etc. - Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment
- Understand good maintenance and engineering practices
- Excellent Electrical knowledge
- Excellent Mechatronics knowledge
- Good understanding of Preventative Maintenance principles/methodologies
- Able to use own initiative and work autonomously when required
- Be flexible to work overtime and support a small team
