The purpose of the Maintenance Engineer is to maintain production machinery to the required standard and schedule, enabling efficient operation of can line equipment. Full training will be provided so if you possess the drive to work on your own initiative and pride yourself on making a difference, then this role is for you! Main Responsibilities Maintenance, Repairs and Changeovers

• Complete planned maintenance activities as per schedule
• Conduct equipment set-up evaluation (ESE) after maintenance, breakdowns, and tooling replacements
• Complete size changeovers as per production planning requirements and seek to improve the changeover process
• Ensure availability and efficient function of re-conditioned spares
• Support the Production Team during major machine and services breakdowns
Manufacturing of Parts & Unit Spares
• Where necessary, re-engineer spare parts using drawings or reverse engineering from existing parts
• Manufacture unit spares for machines using a full range of engineering machines (lathes, millers, grinders etc.)
• Manufacture small component parts for production machinery (E.g., bushes, pins, guards etc.)
• Manufacture, fit and maintain machine guards, where required
• Re-dress grinding machine wheels
• Maintain all safe working practices as required by Health and Safety Legislation and Power Press Regulations
• Maintain a good standard of housekeeping by regular cleaning of machines and floor and disposing of scrap
Required Education and Qualifications
• Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance
