You will offer a mechanical bias with responsibility for the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and mechanical systems including bespoke LM assets. - Apprenticeship or other equal qualification (Mechanical) and/or evidence of sufficient training to similar standard.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of related trades such as electrical, plumbing etc to sufficient level to support team colleagues when required.
- A Mechanical Fitting background would be along the right kind of lines, experience of using lathes, milling, sheet metal work, woodwork, electrical and electronic fault diagnostics and general maintenance, etc.
- Mechanical Engineering background ideal.
- Knowledge of machine language such as Fanuc an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of using lifting equipment and mechanical aids such as pallet trucks, Forklifts, cranes etc (LM training provided).
- Experience of working to safety risk assessments and method statements.
- Ability to gain SC security clearance.
