Maintenance / Handy Person

Roche Health Care are looking to recruit a Maintenance/Handyperson to join our friendly team at Tudor House, Selby
Salary: up to £12.50phr - dependent on experience
Hours: -9.00-3.30pm (some flexibility required for home requirements - Occasional call outs at weekend for emergencies only.
Must be computer literate as audits need to be completed
Full clean driving licence (preferred) - needs to be able to run errands for Care Home
Experience of Decorating (painting), basic electrics, basic plumbing and joinery is essential

Main purpose of the Job
To carry out day to day maintenance on the fabric of the building, its services and grounds in order to ensure that the care home is maintained in a safe and a fully functional manner

Understanding of central heating systems, laundry equipment, an ability to undertake painting and decorating roles.
General maintenance knowledge i.e. minor electrical, plumbing, joinery work etc.
Evidence of high level commitment to personal development, training and education
Personal Qualities
Have an ability to communicate effectively at all levels. To be able to work efficiently and competently on your own
Willingness to receive training on all current health and safety issues to include moving and handling, fire training etc.
To be a kind and considerate person who is innovative and caring.
