Full Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record for ensuring quality and safety? We're looking for a Maintenance Inspector to join our dynamic team to ensure that the Council fulfils its statutory responsibilities and delivers quality responsive and void works, compliancy, planned and cyclical maintenance programmes to time and budget for the Council's Housing and Corporate portfolio., Inspect properties to identify and address repair needs, ensuring they meet high standards.
Complete property repair reports and raising of work orders to contractors.
Oversee responsive repairs and void property services, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
Monitor and manage external contractors to ensure a comprehensive maintenance service.
Collaborate with Surveyors to maintain contract standards and address any shortfalls.
Ensure Health and Safety compliance for all residents and users.
Perform additional duties as required.
You should have relevant experience in the property repair and defect diagnosis field preferably with a construction trade background and an understanding of domestic property maintenance and fault diagnosis along with having experience in:
Day-to-day repairs and working in void properties
Using a Schedule of Rates ordering system
IT literate with an ability to use housing management systems
Ability to react and adapt
Team worker
Customer Focused
