Full Job Description
As our Maintenance Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in theproduction line team. You'll be the lead Maintenance Engineer forthe area and be part of a management team of 3 (Process Lead,Maintenance Lead and Line Lead). The Maintenance Lead is responsible fordefined processes within a dedicated area of the site to reduce oreliminate the costs that are caused by maintenance of equipment andmachine downtimes. As a management team, you'll review losseswithin the area, develop action plans and deliver sustainedimprovement results. Acting as the Engineering specialist on yourshift, you will be a crucial resource and will have the opportunityto be involved in many projects and initiatives. You'll be an excellentcoach and motivator, with significant, demonstrable experience inthis area. Some of your day-to-day/regular activities willinclude:
- Maintenance Planning andScheduling DMs (Daily Maintenance) for thelines
- Drive a proactive culture for health andsafety challenging unsafe practices.
- Review and prioritise any reportedincidents/stops within the last 24 hours
- Planthe maintenance and repair work for the next 24 hours and completeduring scheduled downtime
- Provide updatesduring DDS (Daily Direction Setting) on any PM's (PreventativeMaintenance) being conducted in the next 24hours
- All overdue work orders are up dated,classified and processed according to meet the urgency andpriority
- Prepare and lead the scheduling of themaintenance work for the next week during the weekly maintenancemeeting
- Budget responsibility for ensuringrepairs budget is managed effectively.
- Preparethe schedules for monthly maintenance work as dictated by theannual maintenance plan and as previously identified during themonthly meeting
- Update technicaldocumentation

- HNC/HND orDegree in an Engineering discipline (ideally with an electricalbias)
- A minimum level 3 electricalqualification
- Continuous Improvement (CI)experience
- Proven strongengineering and problem-solvingskills
- Experience of utilising Lean tools andtechniques
- Preferably manufacturingexperience
