Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Brighton Estates & Facilities Management team. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with excellent technical skills to be responsible for the effective delivery of all reactive maintenance across our university estate.

The successful candidate will develop effective maintenance delivery plan and will manage the Estates maintenance teams. You will also support the procurement and management of an effective and efficient supply chain of maintenance contractors, materials suppliers and specialist consultants.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have:
o Proven experience of project management and multi-stakeholder planning
o Up to date working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
o Ability to manage staff effectively, including to train and induct new members of the team, monitor performance and conduct appraisals
Candidates should hold a HNC qualification or equivalent in a maintenance or related subject and relevant professional health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH). You should also have proven experience of leading operational teams delivering maintenance across multiple sites.
