Maintenance Manager

As a Maintenance Manager and a Head of Department, you'll be keeping your department running like clockwork and leading your team to ensure all guests have an incredible experience with us. Take a deep breath because you'll be stepping into a busy role! You'll be motivating your colleagues to support the overall success of your department and the hotel, and maximising guest satisfaction at all times., We look after our colleagues just as well as we look after our guests. To develop vital business and people skills we offer an 8-month "Fast Forward Programme", or if the time is right our longer-term "Accelerate Programme" will prepare you for your first DGM or Operations Manager role! "Accelerate" develops your abilities and expertise at Leonardo Hotels, along with an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) certificate and membership of the Institute of Hospitality (IoH). Our Croydon property offers affordable hotel rooms at a central location with The Whitgift Shopping centre over the road and East Croydon Station a short 3-4 minute walk away. if you are travelling abroad, Croydon offers an ideal stop over location with frequent train services to Gatwick Airport which is only a 20 minute ride away. For those wanting to go into Central London for a leisure day, or for business, East Croydon Station is a short 17 minute train ride to London Victoria or London Bridge. However, there is plenty to discover in Croydon with various Heritage sites to explore. The Queen's Gardens are an easy 6 minute walk and Shirley Park Golf Course is a 7 minute drive away. • Have previous experience working in a similar role within the Hospitality industry
• Be hands-on and prepared to get out and about in the hotel, working on fixes and improvements alongside your team
• Have exceptional knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems that you can share with your team
• Understand the finances of the hotel and have basic knowledge of budgeting and reporting
• Be up for a challenge because no two days are the same working in Maintenance!
