Full Job Description

This internal opportunity is available to current employees at the University of Leeds only
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
In this role, you will lead on the delivery of the annual Maintenance Works Plan (MWP) funded by a budget of up to £4 million. Projects will typically be in the range of £10K to £100K and you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery from inception to handover, including the compliant procurement of goods and services.
You will also champion a culture of health, safety, and risk management within the directorate, ensuring all activities comply with relevant legislation and best practices. Through thorough risk assessment, regular audits, and proactive stakeholder engagement, you will drive the identification, mitigation, and resolution of health and safety risks associated with maintenance projects.
You will lead on the effective consultation, engagement and communication with a wide range of stakeholders including Faculty Facilities Managers, Building Managers, Maintenance Contract Managers, Zonal Managers and colleagues across Professional Services such as Finance Managers and Category Managers.
