Full Job Description

The Trust, is looking for a Maintenance Officer to join the Facilities Team, and provide support at Brockholes Nature Reserve.

The Maintenance Officer for the Lancashire Wildlife Trust (LWT) will be based out of our Brockholes Nature Reserve, but will provide support as and when needed at our other LWT sites across the North West. All sites vary in complexity from simple office spaces, to a state-of-the-art floating visitor centre, and each has their own systems. This role needs someone who has practical knowledge of Facilities management and compliance, but will also require someone who can work with a large variety of staff, customers, suppliers and volunteers. This role will mainly comprise of practical maintenance, but it will also include RAMS writing and supplier liaison, and will supervise volunteers in basic maintenance tasks.

The successful applicant will have practical experience in maintenance and the ability to work in an organised and methodical manner. This role requires someone who will be dedicated to becoming an expert in the systems and processes and the job holder will have the ability to build effective working relationships with peers, contractors and volunteers in order to deliver a successful maintenance schedule.
