Full Job Description

Our children's homes support children with emotional and behavioural disorders. We work together to meet the needs of our looked after children, creating a stable foundation which will prepare them for the next stage of their lives. As a Handyperson with us, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, safety and security of the building and grounds; carrying out checks and minor repairs as necessary to ensure our homes remain safe and well maintained for the children. We want our homes to be exceptional for the children we are entrusted to care for. It's what we strive to provide and what our children want and need. We welcome applications from people who are happy and confident to work alongside our children to help them gain simple life skills and to assist with creative projects. Shortlisting Criteria To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Some transferable DIY skills and the ability to maintain a small garden.
  • The ability to develop positive and appropriate relationships with staff and children.

    This role has a starting salary of £11,299.50 per annum, based on a 18 hour working week. This opportunity is offered on a part-time basis and can be flexible.
