Procter & Gamble (P&G) are a leading company in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods making some of the world's best loved brands like Gillette, Fairy, and Oral-B. We are looking for a motivated and high-calibre maintenance planner to join us at our London (West Thurrock) Site. We're a build from within company, meaning we're looking for those interested in building a career, not just a job with us. As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling owner of the packing line plus shared area(s) in the department
  • Management of the Maintenance and Repair cost within budget.
  • Identifying and tracking systemic countermeasures for breakdowns
  • Timely completion of all maintenance activities of your area with flow to work to conduct maintenance in other areas during area/line dedicated downtime slots.
  • Build the capability of equipment owners on site in their role to maintain their equipment.
  • Maintain compliance as per stewardship requirements.
  • Ongoing optimization of maintenance program systemically and proactively while delivering all expected elements of the role
  • This is day-based role, and you will be expected to work 40 hours per week.

    We are looking for individuals who:
  • Experience: Have proven mechanical experience in either a process or production environment in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods or similar industry.
  • Influence: Have high level of accountability coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others particularly on implementing your suggestions to improve systems and processes.
  • Training: Experience working in a complex manufacturing environment, ideally having trained in handling maintenance planning; breakdown elimination; storeroom maintenance and purchasing.
  • Education: National Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Engineering is desirable.
  • Language: You will need to have the fluent ability to communicate in English.
