Reporting to the Maintenance Facilities & Project Leader, this position is responsible for both managing and supporting maintenance department projects. The role will have both hands-on and contractor management responsibilities dependant on the scale of project. Project management, contractor control, and electrical and mechanical installation experience is essential. When required, supporting the maintenance facilities team may be requested. Role Responsibilities: Safety:
- Promoting company HSE policies across the department and plant and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Engaging in projects that improve plant health and safety.
- Ensuring contractor RAMS and Permits are correct, updated, and adhered to. Quality:
- Leading and managing projects on time, in budget, and to specification.
- Utilising project management tools to clearly communicate and report out project progress and blockers.
- Leading and supporting cross-functional teams to deliver right-first-time projects. Timing:
- Leading and supporting projects to further improve plant KPIs (OEE).
- Delivering departmental capex projects. Cost:
- Ensuring projects are delivered are value for money.
- Having a continuous improvement mindset to reduce wastes. Motivation:
- Attending training when required and adhering to CCUK & Magna standards.
- Providing training to stakeholders after the delivery of a new project.
- Positively challenging the status quo and leading by example.
Strong health and safety ethics. - Time served apprentice in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or HNC in an engineering discipline.
- Proven hands-on installation and fabrication experience and strong knowledge of a broad range of engineering principles.
- Project management experience.
- Contractor control experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft (especially Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Great communication skills. Desirable
- Health and safety accreditations.
- Experience of tier 1 automotive supply.
- Experience with die casting machines, furnaces, hydraulic presses, conveyors, assembly cells, ABB robots, Siemens PLCs, CNCs, etc. Personal Attributes:
