Full Job Description

We currently have a vacancy at our Severnside Plant where we are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader. The MTL's key responsibility will be to lead the Maintenance of the site and ensure the site's equipment and facilities are maintained in a safe and efficient manner. You'll help drive personal development of the maintenance team as well as manage their day to day activities and look to implement continuous improvement of mechanical and electrical equipment and maintenance process on site. In addition, you'll use data to drive plant improvements and provide engineering support for capex projects. Major / Key Accountabilities

  • Manage maintenance issues and delegate resources to the right skills in the team or external resources as required.
  • Provide support to engineering project team as required.
  • Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities.
  • Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering data systems.
  • Optimise equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Facilities management
  • Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditure.
  • Support the process of the installation of new machinery and equipment and drawing up the specification.
  • Undertake continuous training and development of self and team.
  • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation.
  • Provide technical expertise to the team.
  • Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements.
  • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.

    City and Guilds, apprenticeship, HND, HNC or similar in an engineering-related discipline
  • Preferred Education Technical/Professional Qualification - Electrical Engineering, Technical/Professional Qualification - Engineering Mechanics Preferred Level of Work Experience 3 - 5 years
