• Having served a recognised Engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification is essential. This role could suit someone that's completed a Veolia Electro-Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship.
• Being multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical engineering and having welding skills is advantageous.
• Understanding of, and ability to diagnose faults on mechanical systems.
• Experience gained in a continuous process industry is advantageous.
• Computer literate and able to train in computerised maintenance systems.

What you'll be doing;
• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on the plant and site equipment including: hydraulic and steam systems, overhead refuse cranes, rotating equipment and conveyors.
• Report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing and developing improvements to plant and apparatus.
• Mechanical fault finding, defect rectification and routine maintenance activities.
• Ensure you are working within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
• Use of workshop tools, drilling machines, lathes, bench fitting and welding equipment.
