Full Job Description

Playing a key part in our Facilities and General Services team, our new inhouse Maintenance Technician position supports with various tasks across the premises, providing efficient repairs and maintenance. Having a keen eye for detail and a passion for both reactive and preventative maintenance, the Maintenance Technician plays a key part in ensuring our UK Head Office is safe, secure and upheld to an excellent standard., Carries out daily tasks as required to maintain the property

- Performs routine maintenance tasks such as fixing structural areas i.e. window, door or wall repairs

- Performs minor repairs such as decoration of walls, filling of holes and making good

- Replaces carpet tiles when required due to moves and changes

- Repairs of locks, handles, closers and door stops when reported

- Performs basic plumbing tasks, such as unblocking toilets and sinks, installing taps, tiling and grouting

- Assists with the moving of floor and desk sockets, ensuring all connections are provided

- Liaises with external contractors regarding maintenance/servicing for the properties

- Reports any maintenance issues and attend to urgent health and safety hazards

- Assists with the weekly fire alarm tests

- Ensures all buildings and rooms are secured after use

- Carries out ad hoc tasks when required

Minimum of 2-3 years experience of working in maintenance/facilities role

- Experience in general maintenance and repair work in business/residential properties

- Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle

- Ability to understand and ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act

- Ability to work effectively in a team and on own initiative

- Good level of literacy and numeracy skills

- Good communication skills

- Good PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
