Major Projects Delivery Manager

About the Role: Are you a seasoned project manager with a passion for delivering large-scale infrastructure projects? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Major Projects Delivery Manager to lead and oversee a diverse range of projects within our Highways Delivery Management service. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects that are critical to our highway network and community., + Lead the delivery of commissioned projects, ranging from small-scale interventions to capital projects exceeding £100 million.
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior managers, directors, and external suppliers.
+ Ensure projects are delivered in line with best practice management principles and agreed specifications.
+ Provide strategic advice on governance and resources for highways, transport, environment, and waste projects.
+ Manage and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with NEC Contracts and other relevant regulations.
+ Drive innovation and best practices across the supply chain to enhance project delivery.
+ Monitor and report on project performance, ensuring financial and regulatory compliance.
+ Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the team.

+ Substantial managerial experience in a related field, with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
+ Extensive experience in programme and project management, ideally within the public sector.
+ Strong understanding of project and programme delivery principles, particularly in the infrastructure sector.
+ Experience with NEC Contracts and financial management at a project and programme level.
+ Ability to manage and develop a team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Desirable Qualifications:
+ Relevant professional qualification in project management or a related field.
+ NEC Accreditation.
+ Experience in a political environment and working with external partners.
