To provide a young lady with person centred support so she is able to feel connected to her community, feel safe in a homely environment and receive the care and support she needs in all aspects of her life whilst promoting independence.
The young lady enjoys going out in her car in particular visiting Costa, using her mobile phone as a way of communicating with her staff team, showing videos on YouTube, listening to music, going for walks on the beach and having a fish and chip dinner, swimming, arts and crafts, baking, and visits from her mum.
At times the young lady does require additional support when she becomes anxious and support with personal care is needed. The young lady appreciates staff who are calm, friendly, committed to her and are able to maintain boundaries to make her feel safe.
Our support staff work with people to enhance their skills within the home environment by supporting with cooking, daily living tasks, budgeting and financial support, personal care, accessing education and healthcare.
Experience of working with autistic people or people with learning disabilities is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided which a combination is of face to face, online and shadowing an existing staff member. We will support you to complete Care Certificate and also provide opportunities to gain qualifications in Health and Social Care.
If you would like to discuss the role informally before applying you can contact Suzanne Crooks on (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)
