Full Job Description

We are looking for Male Support Workers to join our team! We have an exciting new service that is due to start. The service is currently based in Sunderland but is subjected to move within the North Tyneside area, and the ideal candidate will be able to commute to the specified addresses. This role will require you to work as part of a team to support individuals with a variety of complex needs, which include, but are not limited to: Autism, Learning Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Challenging Behaviors, Epilepsy, and Down Syndrome. You will be expected to commit to a variety of different shifts, which include day shifts, working nights, and sleeping nights; shifts are allocated on a rota basis, and Line Manager's will work closely with you for preferred days off. The ideal candidate must also be able to work alternative weekends, and must also be able to work more than 20 hours per week. We provide the highest quality of care and support individuals with a range of needs that include, but are not subject to: Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Challenging Behaviors. You will never have the same day twice! You will assist support your Service User to partake in their chosen activities and passions, both within their homes, and within the wider community, as well as assisting them with their daily needs and living. You will provide help with personal care, administering medication, shopping, cooking, and you will work closely with your Service User to develop a trusting relationship with them and their families. We are looking for someone is fun, bubbly, energetic and friendly to join our team of amazing staff. Previous care experience is required for this role.
