Full Job Description

To assist in the provision of a breast imaging service to the highest quality standards, using the skills and resources available within the department effectively and efficiently. The post holder will work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families., To undertake all radiographic duties associated with the Breast Screening programme and the symptomatic breast imaging service, including radiographic assessment of tissue samples. To ensure that the clinical area is safe for practice by making sure that cleanliness is maintained, materials and equipment are ready for use, including clearing away afterwards. Collect, collate and report information, ensuring that accurate patient records and documentation are maintained. Involve patients, relatives/carers in the delivery of care providing reassurance and support to assist their understanding and cooperation. Undertake equipment testing according to the agreed quality assurance programme and document results, taking action when results are out of tolerances. Contribute to the development of teams, individuals and to self-enhance performance and promote best practice., An experienced and competent radiographer who will assist in the provision of a breast imaging service to the highest quality standards, using the skills and resources available within the department effectively and efficiently.
