Full Job Description

We assist our clients to implement and execute projects within the Energy & Infrastructure sectors, by providing a reliable source of high-quality project expertise primarily on a secondment basis. The Management Accountant will be required to provide support to the Finance Team in our London head office, based in Canary Wharf.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES

  • Day to day direction by the Head of Finance

  • Timely and accurate monthly payments to consultants.

  • Timely and accurate monthly client billing and responding to any queries.

  • Timely and accurate preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts, investigating variances, correcting errors where necessary and providing explanations on departures from budget to Finance Manager.

  • Preparation and Posting of Monthly Accruals.

  • Weekly review of reconciliation of all 13 bank accounts across Mentor IMC Group & Weekly reconciliation of all 11 inter-company accounts.

  • Reporting into the parent company on a monthly and quarterly basis, using a variety of bespoke reporting tools.

  • Dealing with local tax advisors/ auditors/ accountants/ lawyers.

  • Liaising with local advisors regarding local accounting.

  • Local GST & VAT returns.

  • Local payroll compliance for external consultants.

  • Weekly Monday email to finance managers of the Company Net Cash Position.

  • Supporting the Head of Finance and local management in terms of business plans/budgeting.

  • Handling all day-to-day ad hoc issues/queries for the regions.

  • Preforming weekly credit and vendor control meetings.

  • Ensuring that detailed Balance Sheet reconciliations are performed, and accurate and adequate record keeping is maintained.

  • Responsibility for all inter-company reconciliations, ensuring that balances are agreed between entities by the first working day of each month.

  • Supporting the Head of Finance to develop models measuring/forecasting/analysing historical data and future activity.

    Advanced user of Microsoft Excel

  • Understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Business Central, Oracle).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial personnel.

  • Experience of working in a centralised multi-currency environment.

  • Proven technical ability.

  • Intellectual with a strong commercial acumen.

  • Bachelor's Degree
