Full Job Description

We are searching for a qualified Management Accountant to join our management accounting team at inMusic Europe Ltd. This position is designed to support the International Financial Controller to create a best-in-class management accounting function. To achieve this, the Management Accountant will be a key driver behind providing the business with accurate and timely monthly reporting. You will also work closely with the Bulgarian based Finance support team, and we expect our relationship with our US owners to further develop. This appointment is seen as a key part of our longer-term vision for the Finance team, so the role and responsibilities will evolve over time to reflect this. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to put their own stamp on a growing business. Core Roles & Responsibilities: Covering a small and varied portfolio of companies, it includes, but is not limited to:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day tasks and workload of the finance team.
  • Leading and preparing the month-end file so it is ready for review by the International Financial Controller.
  • Taking comprehensive ownership of the monthly P&L, ensuring accurate coding across the various projects/departments/regions. Regularly reviewing the monthly P&L and highlighting any errors identified.
  • Working closely with the wider finance team ensuring that all transactions are posted as required in line with the monthly timetable.
  • Maintaining accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Key role in annual audit process
  • Regularly performing variance analysis on the company's accounts, identifying and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Assist the International Financial Controller with the consolidation of the group management accounts and managing
  • intercompany recharges.
  • Providing ad-hoc reports as required by the International Financial Controller and CFO
  • Interacting with the FP&A team, supporting actuals vs budget commentary and analysis
  • Liaise with Business Partners and the business to identify potential impairments
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach to all tasks by challenging the current processes and making/suggesting improvements to simplify, and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Ensuring legal and tax compliance across all jurisdictions, including VAT, payroll tax, and corporation tax, with timely submissions.
  • Managing treasury and working capital positions.
  • Assessing and managing foreign exchange (FX) exposure.
  • Assisting the International Financial Controller in executing new strategic projects, including the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Working hours will be from 08.00 to 17.00 with an hour taken for lunch between 12.00 and 14.00

    Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a [Management Accountant] or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial and management accounting.
  • Robust commercial finance experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with international reporting and compliance.
  • Comfortable working in growth-oriented environment.
  • To be highly numerate logical thinker with problem-solving attitude, drive, and enthusiasm
  • The ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate / advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and Vlookups
  • Experience using Sage and SAP (or similar ERP system)
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience
