Main duties of the job

To deliver a high standard of management accounting services to the service lines whilst adhering to the Trust's Standard Financial Instructions (SFIs).

You are expected to assist the line manager with the core month-end tasks per the time table, to determine the financial performance of the service line. To carry out detailed variance analysis on monthly basis to evaluate the impact on the services line.

You will support the leads in managing the risks through the formation of financial recovery plans and an accurate forecast outturn. You will be expected to provide updates on the progress, the barriers and associated risks. Transparency and openness is paramount to ensure the service line delivers a balanced budget.

The delivery of budget management training will play a pivotal role in the sound understating of the budgetary management responsibilities amongst the clinicians, covering a wide range of tasks i.e. recruitment and on-line budget authorisations etc.
