Hive Group is based in North West London and encompasses varied activities from Medical, Sports, Hospitality, Leisure and Property and we are looking for a Management Accountant to join our small but great team. You will need a solid accounting background - perhaps you are part-qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant and able to travel to our offices in North West London as it is a fully office-based role.
As Management Accountant your role will include:
Performing financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
Perform month-end accounting activities such as productions of management accounts, reconciliations and journal entries.
Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
Generate financial reports and statements for management to review.
Analyse financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
Monitor expenditures, analyse revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
A strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices are a prerequisite. You will know your way around an Excel spreadsheet and be comfortable using extensive formulas to analyse data. You will have worked with a variety of systems and will be keen to get involved in various systems and process improvement projects we have planned.
